Originally a traditional Menorcan house, it was envisioned by its owner, the singer and ex-director of\u00a0<em class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-2w c1-90 c1-91\">Operaci\u00f3n Triunfo Espa\u00f1a<\/em>, as a space to be restored with care, balancing\u00a0<strong class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\">preservation with modernity<\/strong>. The project unfolded through\u00a0<strong class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\">two distinct approaches<\/strong>, each exploring different degrees of c1-90\">Light:<\/strong>\u00a0The original house had some<strong class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\">\u00a0natural illumination<\/strong>, and the new interventions ensured that\u00a0<strong class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\">no light was lost but rather amplified<\/strong>\u00a0through reconfigured openings and This proposal sought to&nbsp;<span class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\">retain as much of the existing house as possible<\/span>, acknowledging its imperfections while embracing its character.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\" style=\"\"><b>2. The CLT Reinvention<\/b><\/span>&nbsp;\u2013 A more radical intervention,&nbsp;<span class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\" style=\"\">reimagining <\/span><span class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\" style=\"\">the home with<\/span><span class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\" style=\"\"> Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT)<\/span>&nbsp;to create a&nbsp;<span class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\" style=\"\">lighter, more sustainable<\/span>&nbsp;structure. This version leveraged CLT&#8217;s&nbsp;<span class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2l c1-2m c1-b c1-8z c1-40 c1-4p c1-90\" style=\"\">structural efficiency, precision, and ecological benefits<\/span>, proposing
