Reform apartment in Mao

A Functional and Spatial Upgrade

This project involves the integral renovation of an apartment in Maó, with the goal of modernizing the layout, optimizing functionality, and enhancing spatial fluidity. The intervention was carried out in collaboration with Menorcan architect Cristina Moll, and it focuses on adapting the apartment to contemporary living standards while respecting its existing spatial constraints.

Key Aspects of the Renovation

  • Reorganization of Spaces The new layout improves the flow between rooms, ensuring a more logical distribution of private and communal areas. The reform enhances the use of available space, making the apartment more efficient and comfortable.

  • Bathroom and Kitchen Optimization A special focus was placed on reconfiguring the bathrooms and modernizing the kitchen, ensuring better usability, storage, and ventilation.

  • Integration of Light and Open Areas The intervention enhances natural light and ventilation, creating a brighter and more open-feeling apartment. Adjustments in partition walls and circulation areas allow for a more fluid spatial experience.

  • Efficient Use of Storage and Transitions The apartment’s storage solutions and hallway dynamics were reconsidered to eliminate wasted space and maximize functional areas.
